Course

Long & Medium Course

The first 22 km are flat and the course runs along the coast. The next 8 kilometers are a bit hilly. The first bigger gradient starts at km 30, is 2.8 km long, 95 meters of altitude difference are to be managed with an average gradient of 4.3%. From km 38 a long ascent begins, which brings us close to the holy mountain of Bali, the Gunung Agung. On 18 km we have to master 608 meters of altitude difference. We reach this altitude at km 56 with beautiful views over the volcanic surroundings of Gunung Agung. Bamboo forests alternate with rice terraces.

Up to km 70 we go up and down like a rollercoaster. At km 74 the long distance divides from the medium one.

This is the begin of the Kintamani Climb. On 21 km there are 948 meters of altitude difference with an average gradient of 4.5%. On the right there are fantastic views of Gunung Agung. At km 93 the crater rim of Kintamani is reached and you have a beautiful view of the crater lake Danau Batur. We follow the road along the crater up to km 97 and from there it is only downhill to the coastal road, which is reached after 33 km. At km 118 both distances reunite. The last 4 km to the Finish Line are covered flat on the coastal road.
